Abstract

Abstract-Background: Chondrosarcoma is a malignant cartilage-producing bone tumor that most commonly affects the pelvis and proximal long bones in adults. Owing to its relative resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, wide surgical resection remains the treatment of choice. Reconstruction following proximal femoral resection presents a significant challenge, and modular tumor endoprostheses have become an important limb-salvage option.
